components:

• find a sound and record it ... this will be the only sound you use for your entire 1min piece

• use granular synthesis within Max (see MSP Polyphony Tutorial 2: Granular Synthesis)

  • within Max, you may record using Quickrecord from the Extras menu

• ideally, use Logic Pro as your canvas (you may use your favorite DAW) emphasizing automating plugins to manipulate your found sound
