Instructions
Add all of the following to create a digital story that includes sound effects and music (check out Radiolab if you haven't heard any good stories or podcasts that include sound effects and supporting music)
dialogue
you must use an analog microphone, an audio interface with preamp, and a computer to record your speaking so do one of the following:
you may need to add proper EQ for your voice (there are *many* articles online about how EQs work ... here's one)
if you get too quiet and too loud with your dialogue, you will need to add a compressor to your voice so people don't need to keep adjusting the volume while listening to your digital story (there are *many* articles online about how compressors work ... here's one)
virtual instrument (synth) that records/plays back to a MIDI track
note how MIDI tracks [note blocks] differ from audio tracks [waveform]
you must add automation of some parameter (at least volume)
at least five *different* royalty-free samples (sounds) from freesound.org, other websites, or that you record yourself
filter down to "royalty-free" samples on sites such as freesound.org (licenses = Creative Commons 0)
you must add at least one plugin ("FX Effect") and automate one of the settings for one of your samples
