Go through the synthesis tutorials:

Requirements

  • software = Logic Pro

  • get your Notation project into Logic Pro

    1. open your Notaiton project in Dorico ... then = File > Export > MIDI

    2. in Logic = File > Import > MIDI File ...

    3. each instrument from your Notation project will get its own track

MusicXML will not give you the human performance dynamics that are embedded in MIDI by Dorico

  • use the following techniques to create an imagitive/fun version of your Notation project using virtual instruments:

    • change the default virtual instruments Logic chooses for you

    • use automation (at very least automate panning or volume)

    • for at least one of your virtual instruments, use an analog synthesizer imulator so you can mess with an LFO modulation (tremelo, vibrato) and be able to choose what oscillator is used

    • add creative "Audio FX" in the virtual instrument track (such as reverb, distortion, etc.)

where to turn in

  • first, you must create a video out of your audio (YouTube does not accept audio only)

    • use DaVinci Resolve to add a photo to your audio

  • upload the video you create in Resolve to YouTube

  • embed in your class projects portfolio website
